Undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD) demonstrates your commitment to continual learning. It is essential to maintain professional standards and knowledge post qualification.
Our CPD scheme is at the core of our professional development services. It provides a framework for our members to structure and record their ongoing learning and also meets the FCA's CPD requirements for retail investment advisers.

Scheme Overview
All participants in our CPD scheme are required to adhere to our Code of Ethics and undertake 35 hours of CPD per year, at least 21 hours of which must be structured.

CPD activities
CPD seminars and networking events
Our varied programme of events keeps you up to speed with the issues shaping our industry and connects you with our global community of like-minded individuals, keen to share, learn, network and advance the banking and finance profession.

Online structured CPD
We offer a programme of Online Structured CPD programme for financial professionals involved in the distribution of retail investment products looking to keep their knowledge up-to-date.
Financial World magazine
Our bi-monthly journal provides insight and analysis on developments in the banking and financial services sector and the global economy.

MyLIBF
Our virtual learning environment provides access to an enormous range of materials including the KnowledgeBank e-library, which contains full text journals, reference sources and books to support your professional development. Articles written by KnowledgeBank research specialists and industry experts can also be claimed as unstructured CPD.

Professional qualifications
Our professional qualifications are an excellent way to refresh knowledge or gain new understanding. Many of our programmes contain bite size units or modules that can be studied on a stand-alone basis for CPD.

Many of these resources can be accessed free of charge by members or at a reduced rate.
